Vbay east side bait

I usually put in at intercoastal, and there's a ton of bait to catch at the weirs. We'll probably put in at cypremort this weekend and save a little gas. Is there a good place to catch on the east side near cypremort?

No not really, unless you run all the way to marsh island and hit the weirs there. This time of year you don't need live bait for Vbay. I pretty much only use gulp swimming mullet there and catch plenty trout.

Yeh, I've been doing alright on artificial for the trout. I find a lot more reds with the real stuff. Have the reds been on on the east side? They're on over at the west side. Mostly in the area just shy of the pass when you work the bank. Those grassy banks near Blue point, Little Mud Point, and Dead Cypress point seem like they'd hold some reds, but I haven't tried them yet. Nothing like spending the day hitting trout and then working the banks for a bit to find some reds. Makes for a good day. Guess I could keep a few croakers or whiteys to chop up an throw by the bank toward the end of the day.
