Verado lower unit
 

I have a 2007 250 verado and have had zero problems with it until now. Dealer says "nothing but saltwater" in lower unit. Did not have any line wrapped around the prop or any definitive cause. "Maybe a bad seal" they say.

Is this common? Insurance wont cover since mechanical. Any advice or recommendations is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

those early verados had some lower unit problems although it seems like it wouldve broke before now
