Stinky Livewell???
What do you guys use to clean your livewells and keep the livewells from stinking up the whole boat? Preferably something that won't kill the next batch of fish put into the livewell:D

After I clean my live well. I leave it open that way it can air out! I open all my compartments so air can pass through. That way any water thats in can dry

I was going to say don't forget the bait in it, but this is close enough..... Other than that alpha and T-Top are right. You can put all of the lemon scent and what not you want in it, but if you leave it closed up it will still smell.

I never use soap at all. If you ever get the chance to fish with anyone who has been in the king mackeral series tournaments you will see why. Live bait is everthing for those guys and they give more attention to the live well then any other park of the boat.
They wash it out with saltwater ONLY and then leave it open to air out. No issues with smell at all.
Good luck

Thanks for all the replies. Just had a friend buy a new BlackJack and it's been decades since I fished salt water.
Thank You ALL.
