Nautic star replacement hinge help.
 

Got tired of hearing hatches slam on my livewell and front storage this weekend. Looking to upgrade to friction hinges. Im now 3 hours from my boat. Can anyone with an 07 era nautic star give me hinge sizes? I measured 2.75 x 1.75 roughly but it looks like they come in 2.75 x 1.625 and 1.5.
Also if someone could snap a pic that would help too.

Juice, what friction hinge manufacturer are you looking at?

I actually just ordered from Gemlux. After talking with gemlux rep I think I found as close to a retrofit hinge as I'm going to get. I ordered one set to see how they match and I'll post up some pics after the install.

Please do, I am also tired of slamming hatches. got me thinking of putting some on mine as well.
