Anyone have any experience with this one? I tore mine off my boat and am in the market for a new one. And no, I don't want a hand controlled one.

haven't seen or heard any reports on the motorguide, but the minnkota ipilot, I have heard several positive reviews. I can't think of any bad ones

I have an Xi5 and love it. I really like that the remote uses AAA batteries.

I can see that foot pedal findin it's way in the drink

That is a concern. I can see that foot pedal with an empty water bottle permanently attached

I have a MinnKota Ipilot and love it. The low profile foot control is easy to use and reacts quickly. Before the Ipilot, I always had a hand control because I didn't like the high foot profiles of the other trolling motors.
