Dularge Trout Fishing!

The DU is loaded with hungry trout! The problem is getting to them in the open water. Unless you are fishing behind Last Island,Timbalier Island or Raccoon Island where it is protected its been tough to get on a good bite. 20-40 fish have been the norm. Water clarity has been a problem but the fish will still bite if it calms down which it is supposed to do later this week. One good trip in the past few days produced 82 nice trout on soft plastics with the LSU & Glow Bayou Chub doing the job. Most of the fish were caught on a sandy reef in only 3 ft of water. Looking forward to a better week of fishing this week as high pressure settles right on top of us. Be safe and good luck fishing.

Capt. Bill Lake is a class act, that's a report most guides will not give.
