Spots to use cast nets
I am new to the area and was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots within about 30-45 minutes of Lake Charles to use a cast net. I have been down to the Rockefeller wildlife refuge several times but would like to find somewhere closer. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Welcome to the site and sure someone will be along with some good info but what exactly are you looking to catch? Once shrimp season starts you can go to the Weirs on Big Lake for shrimp

Thanks weedeater. I am just looking for a good spot to catch shrimp and mullet.
