The weirs need to be opened ASAP b4 they kill 20,000 redfish like they did a few yrs back all those reds r trying to get to deep water but can't bc of the weir bn closed the n wind blew all water out abd those fish r trapped and will prolly die again 337-5982126

No they are still closed

Unless something has changed in the last few months, The Refuge no longer controls the weirs, so that wont do much good.

Didn't see u posted that would say great minds think alike.... But can't say that! Lol they dead! What's bad is yrs back wjen it happened there was trout floating up and people were bn ticketed for taking over the limit! They should at least go scoop em up and give em to a food bank

Private entity operates the weirs now based on a written management plan. The contract to operate it is bid out by the Cameron-Creole Advisory Committee or something like that. I used to know who had the contract, but I think they do it on a yearly basis or something like that. Either way, I don't know who has the job now.
