Q beam recommendations please!!

Lookin for a good spot light for running across the bay before sunrise. Boat has a t-top but I'm not sure if a stationary mounted spot will give me what I want vs a handheld Any suggestions?

I have this one in my boat. Waterproof up to 6' If it goes overboard, it floats light pointing up so you can find it easier.

For night time boat travel, I use a 300,000 candle power 12volt Q-beam hand held light. I really lights up the water out in front of my boat.

I have had this light for 25+ years and it has been with me on 250+ trips. When the light bulb quit working, I replaced it with a car headlight. This light bulb gives off plenty of light to spot stump, logs, alligators, etc. at 100+ yards away.

I have this one http://www.optronicsinc.com/spotlights3-new.html and made a custom mounting bracket I also cut the alligator clips off and made a 12v plug .
The blue light is way easier on the eyes at night not causing night/light blindness .

Mike where did you get that thing? Or did you have to order it? I think I'm gonna mount that bad boy on the t top and then grab that Stanley for "horizontal scanning"

I have the Stanley.. I use it for checking sheetrock at night , it's not that good of a light

Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas ? 108.00 dollars online and red and green lens covers are available ....

If your gonna go rechargeable handheld this is the way to go. It's not waterproof, it doesn't float, but it has a 560 lumen output for hours on end. I have two that we use for frogging. We'll go multiple trips before charging them. There are some improvements that could be made in the durability of them, but they work awesome. Great light for only $60.
