Has anyone heard any reports from the mermentau river near grand chenier?

Went Saturday.. They had a big school of bull reds chasing bait south of the bridge and we caught and released 1.. We tried another spot and picked up 2- 18" reds, left them biting cuz it was getting dark.. We went to work on the camp and had a lil time to fish.. Water didn't look the greatest but we seem to do better when it's dirty.. Fished on a light incoming tide.

we made our first trip of the year about 6 weeks ago and hammered them. Between me and my pals, we made 5 or 6 trips since then and did decent. It all depends on how you hit the tide and what the fish feel like doing...
