Buccaneer State Park Waveland
 

Going camping with the family here this weekend. Does anyone know if the fishing off the beach is any good. Thinking about bringing the poles.

There is a bayou inlet (bridge) right by the park and it's one of my favorite spots. You can walk out on to the concrete walls and cast out pretty good. There are some jetties next to it too. Also a good spot for crabbing and catching bait.

O yea it's decent right now. Was there a couple of weeks ago and caught some specks on the beach. Bait was everywhere

You can make a quick wade anywhere on that beach. You can also flounder at night. that shallow water runs out for a couple hundred yards.
