Auto Mechanic Needed Lake Charles

My wifes '04 Hyundai Sonata is having problems, which I am unable to troubleshoot. I haven't used a mechanic in a while and called the last one that I used. Turns out, he closed shop and is working for one of the Industries in the area. The car is idling really low. When you put it in gear, the RPM's are barely high enough to keep it running. It struggles to accelerate up to speed. As it sits in neutral, if you turn the a/c on, it drops the RPM's significantly, and almost stalls. That's all I know. Also, not sure if it would ever get up to speed, was too afraid to drive off in it. It struggled to stay running once I put it in drive and would not respond very well to the accelerator being pressed.

Thanks for your help.

My buddy swears by this guy and I met him once and he did seem honest.

We use BAS for all of our work trucks... he is a good dude that will shoot you straight and fix your issues.

Air filter looks fine. I also forgot to mention, this was not a gradual problem. It happened all of a sudden. Drove the car to store, perfectly fine. When she left the store, the problem was immediate. I really appreciate all the suggestions. It's these moments where you start talking yourself into another car note. Im still holding out hope though.

Thanks for the recommendation guys. Brought car to BAS yesterday around 11am. Had it back like new at around 3pm. It was an ignition coil pack that was bad. Car was running on 2 cylinders. If it didn't run so rough, I might have saved some money on gas. Nonetheless. I really appreciate the help.
