Homemade Veggie & Beef Soup

We had good 'ol homemade vegetable & beef soup that my wife made for dinner last night. Good stuff! We love homemade soup around here and lthe one she made yesterday was hearty and full of veggies, pasta and beef.
I like a little grated parmesan cheese on mine and added some croutons on top. Delicious!!!!

My grandma used to always make this. It was one of my favorites. Do you have a little synopsis on how to make yours so I can give it a shot?

Finally posting recipes everyone has been asking for. Here you go!

VEGETABLE SOUP

1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into one-inch cubes
1T oil
1C onion, chopped
5C water
2T beef bouillon granules
1 can (28 oz) diced or crushed tomatoes
1 pkg. frozen soup vegetables
3C cabbage, shredded
1 turnip, cubed
1C fresh carrots
1C chopped celery

In a large stockpot, heat the oil and brown the meat very slowly. (This browning process produces a rich broth, so the slower the better.) Add the onions and cook until soft.
Stir in water and bouillon and bring to a boil.
Add tomatoes, carrots, celery, cabbage and turnip and simmer covered for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add frozen vegetables and cook another 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add any type of small pasta to the mixture.
