Question about beaches near Cameron jetties.
 

I've fished the jetties a few times and was wondering - does anyone catch fish on the beaches near the jetties? I was thinking of trying by boat if the wind is right without having to go as far as Holly Beach.
Years ago there was a good number of guys surf fishing just to the east of the jetties, but I didn't think they had much success.

If you catch the water right... the beach on the east side of the jetties can produce a lot of specks. We have limited out on specks on that side... of course, when the water is perfect.
