http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...psd1d6bbfd.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...psedaca0b6.jpg Capt Mike Mladenik from Wisconsin fished with me Wednesday. Mike is a guide up in Wisconsin and is here in Houma on vacation. Mike wanted to experience some South LA fishing, and I was able to show him how we do it!!! Leaving out of The Reel Inn after daylight we found crystal clear water at our first stop and nice specks hitting our avocado Matrix Shad. We moved onto catching fish on bait shrimp, then moved onto catching more trout over reefs. With less winds and the water cleaning up we also were able to fish some open water catching trout tight lining and under corks on our Matrix Shad baits in Tiger, Green hornet, and Avocado colors. Once we had caught plenty trout we were off to battle the Bulls. It didn't take long before we had a bent pole and drag screaming. It was a great day to say the least as I was able to show Capt Mike how we catch trout tight lining and under a cork in deep and shallow water, how we fish bait shrimp on the bottom, and how we catch Bull reds on cracked crab. We had a great day and caught a bunch of fish. All fish were released to fight again as Mike is traveling and did not want to keep any fish. Thanks Mike for a great day on the water. Conditions have improved drastically and looks like the next few days will be great fishing. Capt. Marty LaCoste 985-856-4477 www.absolutefishingcharters.com |
