Sabine lake trout

Has anyone heard about the huge fish supposedly caught on Sabine? A guy I work with showed me some pics that were on Sabine connection website. I almost fell out of my chair when I heard him say they were catching 6 to 10# fish in a single trip. Can anyone confirm.

I noticed quite a few TX boats in BL Friday; maybe the word hasn't got out that Sabine has better fishing!:D

I'd say that's for advertisement for you to book in. Those fish he have pics of look close to 9lbs? Not to me...

Some nice 5.5 and 6 # fish. Where's the 9s and 10s. Wait texans don't weigh fish anyway.

"W" 03-19-2013 04:12 PM

Yea those are 4.5 to 5.5lb trout no where close to 8-10

mikedatiger 03-19-2013 04:22 PM

Never did he say the weights of any of those fish in the pics. If ****ie said they are catching 8-9lb trout, then they are catching 8-9lb trout. I know ****ie and have fished with him a few times. The guy can flat out fish.

yep I heard they catching big trout every cast in sabine. planning to make a trip over there soon

bearwash87 03-19-2013 05:08 PM

It says in the post that the pictures of the largest trout had to held back.

"I had to save a couple of pictures of the largest trout for TSFM, but we had lots of opportuniites to take pictures all week and that doesn't happen all that often."

"W" 03-19-2013 05:18 PM

But I did here they are catching every cast over there and not even using the new super shrimp bait... I think everyone should head to Sabine lake for the next 7 months and give us detailed reports on all fishing sites !!
