Solo wade trip. Tough day

Decided to hit my favorite wade fishing spot despite the weather. Water looked terrible, winds north then to mostly east, low tide and no bait in the water to be found. I stuck it out and a few fish decided to show up. All fish caught on black and chartreuse top. Two biggest were around 4lbs Attachment 46628Attachment 46627 |

Need some advice... Had about 20 blow ups today but trout could not seem to find the hooks. I tried different colors and also other baits. Any tips on getting a better ratio on timid fish?
