bbbbbbutttt it was evil guns and "hi" cap mags!!

Law enforcement sources say Adam Lanza was motivated by violent video games and a strong desire to kill more people than another infamous mass murderer.

Sources say Lanza saw himself as being in direct competition with Anders Breivik, a Norwegian man who killed 77 people in July 2011.

Violent video games and mass violence a complex link
Breivik killed eight with a bombing in downtown Oslo. He then moved to a nearby island where hunted down and fatally shot 69 people, mostly teenagers attending a summer camp.

Two officials who have been briefed on the Newtown, Conn., investigation say Lanza wanted to top Breivik's death toll and targeted nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School because it was the "easiest target" with the "largest cluster of people."

Evidence shows that his mind, sources say, Lanza was also likely acting out the fantasies of a video game as he killed 20 first graders and six adults at the school. For Lanza, the deaths apparently amounted to some kind of "score."

But Lanza ended his killing spree sooner than he intended. Unlike Breivik, who surrendered, Lanza killed himself as police closed in. Just before his suicide, Lanza fired some shots at police in the school's parking lot.

Officials have not publicly revealed what led them to the motive, but sources say investigators have found evidence Lanza was obsessed with Breivik.

They've also recovered what they called a "trove" of video games from the basement of Lanza's home. Sources say Lanza spent countless hours there alone, in a private gaming room with the windows blacked out, honing his computer shooting skills.

Lanza also made multiple visits to nearby gun ranges with his mother, Nancy Lanza, where they practiced together with actual weapons. Three guns, all registered to Nancy Lanza, were used in the Sandy Hook massacre. Lanza used a fourth weapon to kill his mother before his attack on the school.

The Government can't come in my house and turn it off! Only I can do that!

Big Government is getting out of hand and who the hell can keep up with all the dumbazz laws they pass daily

Government don't control you , your kids or your life! Only you as parents can control your kids actions , as you are 100% responsible for their actions unit the age of 18

I would back regulations on video games 100%, The games we played when I was younger were nothing like what we have now and there were alot less video game soldiers loading up on guns...put ya kids outside!

I heard Louisiana passed a law where it's illegal to have your trailer hitch/ball on bumper when not towing.

Regulation won't change a thing! That woman was at fault for allowing that turd to sit down there and entrench himself in the game.

Parenting is where it lies, and even if they are banned all together you won't stop people from playing them or getting them. So, it's the parents obligation to teach some GD moderation to their kids.

People were messed up before video games. What did Charles Manson play? How about Nero? Which video game did he play? Hitler, which one? Mussolini? Bin Laden? Heck, they don't even have video games when they're growing up!

I agree its alot with parenting I should have included that...I still think some of the games are a bit out of hand and marketed towards teens..

How would they regulate it though? It already is regulated, just like smokes an booze. Parents or people old enough have to buy them, video games are no different when they are rated above a certain level, which the shoot en ups are.

More regs never work, it just makes the people close to those that were lost feel better.

Look at TSA, ain't nobody safer.

I figure a dumbass cop hit his knee on someones receiver and they made this law.

Finfeatherfur 02-19-2013 02:19 PM

They always say "no such thing as a sure bet in life". Well, I disagree with that and unfortunately I was proven right just a few minutes ago with another criminal killing 3 in a 25 minute crime spree in Cali.

On duty, I carry a .40 Glock fully loaded and 2 spare magazines on my duty rig, I have a Remington 870 with mag extension loaded with buckshot and slugs, and in the same case I carry a AR-15 with 250 rounds of ammo total. I also carry an ammo can with less than lethal 12ga rounds and door breacher rounds in my unit at all times. Now, if we go out for a special operation call/warrant, I carry my Sig .45 and sometimes I carry a 37mm bean bag gun, depending on the situation.

I do not carry this arsenal to look tuff, or try to intimidate people. I carry it to meet or exceed the force of my enemy - the everyday criminal. These weapons are not carried to address law abiding citizens, the hard working man/woman trying to raise a family. They are there for the mentally unstable, crazy mofo's that seem to be on every corner.

I can promise you that the only sure bet in America is more crazy people will continue to kill people. Weather with a gun, and sword, a bomb, a car, fire, a knife, or baseball bat...........criminals and mentally unstable people are around us. As one man said, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy. The liberals are doing what they do best and they have an agenda. Unfortunately, we will be having this fight for some time and crazy people with violent video games will continue to kill innocent victims. Welcome to the new society - just remember, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun! - Where's yours!?
