ethanol test kit

I was thinking of getting the solution [see link] that you put a few drops in the "gasoline" and see if it changes color. My hesitation, is that if the "gasoline" has any contamination of ethonal, this solution might give a postive result. http://www.fuel-testers.com/sale-individual-products.html The "water-gas mix" test method sounds like it would be a little messy and require more prepration to be ready to test the "gasoline". |
That is the same kit I have....seems to be pretty accurate and yes it can be messy.

Thanks for the information.
Guess I need to find something to use to put the "gasoline" sample in for the test. |
