Can not return ammunition ?

First , I never shop at Wal Mart but at 6 am don't have much choice ,
anyway bought 380 auto instead of 38 for my wife's gun . Realized it when I got home. Took it back and they say they there is a law saying that they can not take it back or exchange it .
Do y'all know anything about it?
Bet if I would have went to a gun shop it would not have been a problem .

I don't know if there is a law but usually ammo sales are final. It doesn't matter where you shop at.

Can't return at Cables or Bass Pro either.

Bad for you but probably a good policy. Imagine someone tampering with ammo, then returning it? 16 or 20gauge in 12 gauge box. Or 357 in 38 boxes.

If you were closer to Lafayette I would be happy to buy them from you. I'm sure somebody close to you has a 380 that could buy them off of you.

Academy started telling customers all sales are final. Double check before you purchase

Ammo can not be returned due to the fact that casings can be reloaded, in which the reloader can make money because it's cheaper to reload or it can be reloaded incorrect ex. loaded to hot & become dangerous. I would think main reason is the 2nd.

I bought Hornady 7MM Mag from Bass Pro. They would not chamber in my A-Bolt. Took back to Bass Pro. They told me it is a federal law that ammo cnnot be returned. I had to send back to Hornady. They paid freight and arranged shipping. They said entire lot # was out of spec. Sent me 3 boxes of 45-70 leverrevolution for each box of 7MM. I didn't want their 7MM ammo after this.

there is only one solution to your problem......GO BUY A BERSA THUNDER 380! and then go buy some more boxes of .380! PROBLEM SOLVED!

LPfishnTIM 12-25-2012 12:44 AM

oh and how do make that mistake? A box of 38 special is twice as big as a box of .380!
