GTR25 gator tail
Anyone running the new gtr25 yet. Wondering what kind of power it has, and if I should say to hell with the hp restricted areas of the reserve, and get the 35. Running it on a 15/44 weld craft.

first off get a new boat. you will beat that weld craft up so bad with a mudmotor you wont be able to sell it for jack when you need a new one. as far as the 25 its pretty new and i have only read one review on mud motor talk and he was satisfied with it.

There is a few builders in Morgan City that build custom boats that would be able to build a good fit for that motor. A 16x42 would be a great size IMO.

Already have the boat, just need a mud motor. I have the boat rigged like I want. I know a true flat would be better, but I haven't got the funds to buy a complete rig.

The new 25 hp Gatortail has a lot of power. Gatortail will give you a demo of it on your boat if you make an appointment. Call them at 337-229-4864. They are alot better at answering questions than a generic board.
