Took a friend and his son from Baton Rouge for a quick trip this am. Hit the north end just after sun up, and there were already boats everywhere. Water looked great. Saw a shirimp jump, and we each hooked up. I dropped the anchor and we preceded to catch fish for 2 hours straight. Got our 3 man limit of trout plus a handful of reds. Never moved. They even convinced me to keep a few sheepshead which I have never kept. I told them if they cleaned them, I would keep them. Needless to say, after watching him clean them, I don't think it is worth the effort. Regardless, it was a great morning on the water.
