Prien 11-19-12
 

Another late report but better late than never. Made an early morning trip to Prien area this morning and found some hungry trout after a couple of stops. Tried Lake Charles first and there were birds everywhere but none really working. Picked up a couple then made a move to Prien by the country club and nothing happening. Made another move to the mouth of Contraband Bayou and it was pay dirt. Ended up finishing off my one man limit and getting the boat on the trailer for about 9:30. All fish were nice size and didn’t have to measure any today.

The water look was gin clear and was running from 58 to 60 degrees. The tide was moving out slow and there was a little breeze. All fish were caught on a combination of baits. Some were caught on the TKO (Blue moon) shrimp under a popping cork and some were caught on the Jerk Jr. (Natural Shrimp) on a 1/8 oz yellow mouth jig head. Got to break in my wife's custom made Calcasieu Xtreme Rod today and she still don’t know.

Dew point dammit, I need the dew point LOL!!!

Nice catch but how is that a late report when you went this morning?

I didn't get to post the report till this afternoon instead of after the fish were clean.

Nice catch, been awhile since I been to my holes out there, trying to get each of my kids to get something hunting. My daughter has a pig and after my son gets him something ill be back in full force!
