Squirrel recipes

I just bought a house in Alabama near my deer lease and a have about 20 pecan trees on my property last time I was there I noticed my pecan trees are loaded with squirrels so looks like I'm gonna have to get rid of them tree rats anyone have any good recipes for me to try.

Brown them real good make a gravy. They make the best gravy, up there with doves. Or quarter them and fry.

Squirrel to me is the best meat. Pot roast squirrels is my last supper meal when that day comes! May be Saturday night!!!

Never had it any way but in a sweet stinky gravy in black iron pot and I'm with you on the final meal. Lucky for me wife doesn't eat squirrel so I don't have to fight no one for them bigo fat back legs my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

black iron dutch oven, smothered in a dark gravey with some peppers and onions over rice or over some scratch made cat head biscuits - the dumpling thing is very good also - squirrel just makes the best gravey there is.

You can also put them in a gumbo also, some people preferred to smoke them over the camp fire before putting them in the pot.
