lil help on launches near cameron
 

looking to launch 22 foot bay boat.south ship channel... on cameron side....wanna fish jetties and beach area..etc.(.trading boat ride for car ride)...directions would help too..not too familiar w that area...

When coming into Cameron, the Cameron motel will be on your right. Then Dollar General. Take a left right past dollar general onto Davis Rd and follow that road all the way down till you get to boat launch.

.i assume both are solid for 22 footer???..

there was a recent post about a problem..something submerged at a cameron launch..will look for that post..i think it was off to the side or something...anything on that.. thanks again ...especially for the swift response

Both the same launches. Can launch a 22ft fine. I have seen offshore boats launch here. Its the launch on holly beach side that used to be jacked up.

Dollar General didn't come back after Rita.

You can launch with no problem, but on low tide and North wind, sometimes there will be a shallow hump about 15 ft. from the bottom of the ramp.

back at low tide..2 feeet..very shallow..wind and current was a bee otch...not an easy load..got on first try but ..not easy..like driving in a toilet..be care ful boys,,glAD I DINT HIT BUMP...BUT WAS DIFFICILE
