Best beach route
If I'm in pine island which is north of Roanoke,la which way would be the best route to da beach if I want to wade Sunday afternoon. Keep in mind I've never been to maes by truck. Should I go thru lc or down thru sweet lake and end up on the backside?

I would go over to Sulphur and go down Hwy 27. It would be quicker and don't have cross the Cameron ferry.

Ok that brings me to my next question. When I get to 82 do I go east to toward the jetties or west to get to maes and holly. Never been that way. And about how far r they once I turn whichever direction thx

Use about a 15ft stringer or basket to keep your fish on/in.

Saw one dude using a chest with an 18 wheeler tube around it. He tied it to a SOP and fished.

Heard something on the radio this week about the ferry being temporarily closed. Maybe it was just for that day but you may wanna double check.

If coming from sulphur (hwy 27) then head west on 82. Holly beach is right there. Couple miles the rocks start. Maes about 10 miles. No signs so just pick a spot and try it.
