We are on Stonington Rd. Take the right on the street across from "The old country store" on hwy 61. Family member just purchased 167 acres and I will be the only one bow hunting this season. I will be there EVERY weekend until November 21 before all the lazy gun hunters start screwing up the woods. I have been hunting Louisiana public land for years and it will be nice to not have to deal with all of the morons.

Know exactly where you are talking about. If you take that right on 550 (old country store) & go approx. 5-6 miles you come to crossroads (Dennis Crossroads) take that left & go 5 or 6 miles is where we are at. They have some really good deer around that area. I've killed 3 good 8 pts in the past 3 years there all over 15" inside. One weighed 205. We killed many in my 3 years there as a club over 200lbs. Start checking the pin oaks, they arent falling good yet but they are hitting the acorns that have been knocked out from the wind & rain. Also lots of persimmons in that area.
Good luck!!!!!
