07-19-12 Reds & Reds
3 Attachment(s)
Started off fishing in the Bayou looking for reds and were catching reds but they were only 14 to 17 inches. Caught about ten and then the rain moved in and we decided to move as well down to Moss Lake where we found the reds we were looking for. We caught 9 solid reds going from 24 to 27 inches and weighing between 5 and 9 lbs. Caught four smaller ones like what was being caught in the bayou. All reds were tagged and released to fight another day. Nothing like catching reds. The baits of choice today in the bayou was the Bandit 100 crawfish color and in Moss Lake it was the Skull Draggerz opening night sting ray grubs and the natural shrimp jerk jrs. Yes it is a just grab it glove that is being worn in one photo them hooks hurt.
