These caught my eye, but i have a box full of plastics already. anyone use em?

I use the flapping devil in the winter time to mimic bigger mullet. They are great lures and have tons of action. What the heck.. Give them a shot.

ive never tried one but that norton you have in your avatar is hard to beat imo. you use the jr norton or regular?

Gasper Master 06-08-2012 01:11 PM

i have had great luck with the Jr's on specks and reds. Purple top/Chart Bottom. Haven't given the regulars too much time yet.

devil eyes are good lures very similar action to jerk jrs

Asterisk-Rich 06-08-2012 02:46 PM

That is my go to plastic. I love the action of the tail and it doesn't helicopter like the sand eel when casting. Way more aerodynamic!

Jerk jr.

Know some that use thim. About the same bait.

But Reaction Strike is better. ;-)

great action. hard to beat the morning glory.

I used the glow chartruse devil eyes .It was one of my favorite plastics at one time.

Jerk Jr last longer and better made IMO

You can get reaction strike diet jerks, diet mullets etc in certain colors for about 2.29 a pack on overstockbait.com

I have enough brown sea devils to last about 20 years lol...

Gasper Master 06-12-2012 02:54 PM

i had never seen those jerk jr's. I just checked them out, and they look awesome also.

Texxan1 06-12-2012 02:57 PM

The Jerks come in a pack of 8 as well.

The diet mullet come in a pack of 10

Pretty good value for a durable lure.

I still like my Brown lures though, but then again i have thousands of them lol

Just FYI, the Diet Mullet they have listed is the small one, which IMO is too small. Josh and I helped to design the 4.5 diet mullet which you can get at local tackle shops around Beaumont/Lake Charles.

I admit I am biased, but the finish and durability of these lures is hard to beat.

Texxan1 06-12-2012 04:12 PM

My wife's tournament partner used to paint the Eyes on the lures for the brown boys.. So we did a deal and got all the reject lures.... This was about 5 years ago.... and we have not put a dent in them..

We have so many soft plastics of various brands that we should have enough for years and years to come..

I have different preferences for different types of fishing, so i dont use the brown lures as much as other ones.

If im fishing redfish, I use TTF killer flats minnows

On trout, I try to use mostly hardbaits these days...
