Here is a rare report from me..:rolleyes: fish are moving on to beds. Should get stupid next weekend. Multiple 9 lb sacks being brough in. Watermelon Bay is on fire.

In all seriousness, tournament today on the river, 4 9 lb sacks were brought in. 19 boats fished.

where is watermelon bay?

I won a little tourney today stayed on the west fork other guys went to watermelon bay but they didnt bite today
I had 7 sumthin almost 8 pounds 3 fish stringer

on da river:D...... it is on the Calcasieu river east of the HWY 171 bridge in Moss Bluff, which is north of Lake Charles

yall fishing plastics or cranks or spinners or what..... I am gonna give the river a try next weekend I hope

Watermellon bay is about 3 miles from the bridge.

I knew they had a tournament today.. Your apart of that Lock Jaw Bass club?

Yes the Lock Jaw was a full day yesterday and a half day today

I think there is some other spots on fire as well that dont get beat up near as bad as watermelon bay

Well for that fact I dont think any single area of any body of water in the state gets beat up as bad as watermelon bay :D
But as long as everybody is in there and the bay is screaming YO Adrian :cry:
then some other good stuff gets left alone

This whole thread was a joke, in regards to the saltwater version of it.

But yes, hopefully they all run to the main river, and leave me and the westfork alone.

Fool I was gonna message you the other day. I fished during the week and caught some nice fish along a stretch near Goos Bay. But I remembered you don't usually fish outside of the Fork. I was catching them on a chartruese spinner bait with red blades in less than 2 feet of water next to the trees.

All I was saying is that there are good to fish out there to catch besides watermelon bay There are enough people in that place everyday so many people act like thats the only place on the river to fish especially this time off the year some nice bags were caught this weekend and they werent in there

I caught a good bag yesterday on the West fork when all the guys I were fishing aganist where in watermelon bay and I think I got them by about 4 pounds
I wouldnt want people to drive any distance with gas prices as high as they are to go fish a place that gets beat to heck like watermelon bay there were
more boats in and out of there in the last few days its ridiculous

I did pull off a 12 pound bag today with a 4 1/2 pound kicker in a very short period of time fishing the main river Calcasieu not in watermelon bay the fish were 9 to 11 feet deep on plastics

I wasnt giving any false reports

My comments were NOT directed towards you or your reports and I appreciate your words above...

The point I was trying to make was for "others" to not post false reports to keep innocent bystanders from reading them and running all over creation looking for fish, as you stated above...
