Couples retreat

Wife and I want to celebrate 5yrs since our child is a little older and could take us being gone for 4-5 days. We know about sandals and the other couples resorts, we thought about Atlantis but we think there might be to many kids for us. We want all inclusive, and to be around a lot of friendly, younger (25-35 age range) nothing to rich just enjoyable and fun. Thanks for any info you guys can give.

The old lady and I took a cruise out of galveston last summer and had a blast. We took the short one. Can't remember if it was 3 or 4 days. Plenty of fun and relatively inexpensive. Only had one stop in cozumel.

Cruises are our thing, but unless you book one of the high end (old fart) lines there will be some kids.
There are some adult only AI's just google it.

Do it while the kids are in school. We screwed up and took a cruise during the summer. By the end of 7 days I was ready to start chunking chillren overboard! Apparantley folks care not what their kids are doing once they are aboard ship. Dey just turn em loose.

we learned that on our first cruise. Now we cruise in april. summer time and all the major holiday cruises have plenty of kids and they are more expensive to boot.

we went to Couples Negril in 04' and really enjoyed it. It sounds a lot like what you are looking for. Might be something you want to check out.

We have heard that negril is a little bit more upbeat younger crowd, heard st Lucia is absolutely gorgeous. No cruises, wanna get somewhere and stay there

I know a lot of people love cruises, but after going on 1 I'll never waste my money on it again. There was only so many things you can do when not in port. I'd go an all inclusive resort somewhere. Check out palaceresorts.com. I got married at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun and it was the best money I've ever spent on a vacation.... Period

Also stayed at Negril and loved it, Couples resort- no kids and all adults. Had a great time. Beach was clothing optional- loved it.. Be sure and wear sunglasses-- Lots of babes... :) Treated us like royalty there.

Also stayed at many couples resorts in Mexico- they were nice but not as much to offer as Negril did. Mexico is getting more Americanized and things getting more expensive there.

Check out Hedonism- not as bad as you have heard. They have two sides- clothes and clothing optional. Friends go all the time and love it. Lots of adults 25-35 and all ready to party. ;)

couples Jamaica was fun..

Check out Turks and Cacos for nice AI's

Asterisk-Rich 02-13-2012 09:57 PM

Couples anything sounds terrible. You should go to DR and leave the old lady with the kids!

We stayed at the Moon Palace in cancun for our honeymoon and it was really nice. It has a spa for the ladies and an extremely nice golf course. I tried to convince the wife to take a Hedonism trip but wouldn't go for it after she looked at the website.

Moon Palace is a great place. Would recommend to anyone.

This is gonna sound oxy-moronic......but..........
A Disney Cruise is the bomb.
There are "Adult only" areas on the ship and Disney does everything first class.

Go to the fun jet website and search for all inclusive to Playa del Carmen. Find the best deal (I recommend the sunset princess) but they are all nice. You will have a ton of fun for a little money. No extra charges for alcohol or any of the restaurants. Didn't spend a penny except for tips and souvenirs.

We stayed at Couples Swept Away in Negril when we got married back in 2007, We loved it, geat food, good drinks, and we met people of all age ranges. They have a piano bar / dance club and a live band at the other bar every night. Plenty of entertainmnet to choose from..We have been looking at places for our 5 year Anniversary as well, all the others are not what we want or too expensive so we may be making a return trip...

Mazatlan, Mexico!!!!!!!!!!
Great EVERYTHING...........including the billfishing! Fly out of Houston, only a 3 hour flight and it is very interesting. If you go, make sure to go see the cathedral, market, and get out on foot for a walk around the old city. Beaches are clean and very nice, lots to do!

Couples Ocho Rios
Loved it. Plenty of things to do and the price was not that bad.
They also have a clothing optional island. Kind of weird sitting next to people at dinner that you swan naked with all day.
I think they may have chanced the name to couples tower Island.

Just rent a condo in Orange Beach, Al., nice privacy with balcony overlooking the Gulf, plenty of charter boats for fishing, nice place to relax, eat, drink and be merry.
