Two years ago at my duck camp one of my buddys used my airboat trailer bunks to wash a pot out with dawn dish soap! Needless to say when I put the boat on the trailer and motioned for him to pull out of the launch, SMASH! It slid back off! Only time in ten years same boat same launch, didn't hurt the boat thanks to the Teflon bottom just cranked it up an put it back on!

I did that with my pro drive last summer. I have the bottom coated with frog spit. first time i launched it i found out that is some slick $hit.

The first time I ever launched my boat, I unlatched it and backed into the water just a little to far. The boat just started floating backwards into the lake. I had to run down the dock (Prien so you can get a good visual) and take a flying Iron Man leap into the boat. My wife almost pissed her pants she was laughing so hard at me.

Being a man I blamed it all on her for not backing me in.

latravcha 01-30-2012 04:33 PM

:rotfl::rotfl:Would love to see a video of that

Found iron mans gun from taco tuesday. On it, it said please call 1800 IRONMAN. Gave it a ring and chuck norris himself answered. Told me to look at this thread and post his findings. So blame chuck norris. :grinpimp:

damn thats no good. That actually happened to my dad and his buddy one day. They didn't do anything different just the rollers were a little loose that day or something. The boat rolled right off the trailer. So needless to say we always keep our boat latched until it hits the water

Ray 01-30-2012 05:38 PM

I unlatch mine when fishing alone, but keep the bow line tied off to the trailer.
They musta stopped real fast to have that happen.
