Did yall try fishing the boat docks and barges on the people side? I use to catch em pretty good on bandit 200 series cranks. Beats working anyway!

Never fished this area but is it pretty easy to catch stripers around there I've always wanted to catch a few and make a good day out of it ?

BassAssasin 01-05-2012 01:41 PM

It hasn't been easy to catchem just gotta go and fish and keep an eye out for the birds

T and F fishing 01-05-2012 03:14 PM

I'm surprised they don't hang around the locks too much but always looks like good area when passing from 90 i just never get around to fishing that area

BassAssasin 01-05-2012 03:36 PM

yea you right, i ve only fished it like 5 times since i first was taken last year. The water has gradually gotten dirtier each time i have been last couple weeks. If it starts to clear up and you catch a warm day, it may get good again.

Yeah my little hotspot over in the bay with the river rising got real muddy almost like chocolate milk could be where some of the dirty water is coming from is from the river

LPfishnTIM 01-05-2012 09:13 PM

red eye shad is what I've been throwing, cant go wrong with it! I've bought 4 of em, along with some Rat L traps.
