Dat's school administration for you. Typical BS. Doesn't surprise me at all.

When I was coaching high school baseball back in B.R., the principal at the school I was at wanted to suspend most of my players because they all dyed their hair blond. It was a team building thing. This happened right before the Playoffs started. Talk about a distraction! My point was to the admin. was that it did not affect their performance on the field or the classroom at all. These were all good kids that hardly ever got into any trouble.
I had to take the brunt of the complaining from both sides; admin. and parents.
(We made it to the Regionals and lost BTW.)

If this was my kid i would raise so much hell at this school they would remember me. Just like the 0 tolerence policy on fighting. I told my 10 yr old not to start a fight, but if somebody hits you first you beat them to a pulp and i'll pick you up at the police station.

X2 bro. Now if it's my son that's in the wrong then I will deal with him. I will not punish my son for protecting himself.

My son is a great kid. I don't see him starting bs. I do feel bad for the one that picks a fight with him. Ethan is a beast. Ask sandwich.

Train that boy to be a disciplined fighter and you will have a ufc champ on your hands.

My dad was a boxer back in the day and he started me on boxing at 6 years old.. Won my golden gloves at age 18 in BR went on to MMA at 25 and now I'm 31... Was a good athlete in high school and played college ball up north.. Handled my own all during HS & college.. Got into one really bad fight my senior year really hurt a guy and let me tell you it cost my dad about 150 k in attorney and medical bills.. They thru everything at me even two counts of 2nd degree battery which one is a felon and basically charged of using a weapon cause I was known for armature fighting... All was dropped thank the good lord to misdemeanors but was a long process... Lost my scholarship to ole miss but the guy will never key another person truck again breathe right or eat right.. Lol
