Prien Lake 12/07/2011

My step uncle backed out on me this morning. He was skert of the cold. He missed out, but didn't freeze his azz off like I did.
Caught Trout on a TKO Shrimp under a popping cork around the Country Club bulkhead. Fish were there but spread out.
When they died out, I switched to a lead head and a TTF Trout Killer II and caught a few more. On the way in, I picked up a
couple more right off from the Prien Park launch, just outside the No Wake buoys. Water temp. was between 48 and 54 deg.,
depending on where you were. Air temps were 36 deg. at daylight. WNW winds around 10 mph. Felt like more. Saw a couple
other boats out there, one was Tightline11.
With the out going tide and North winds, the water was about 1 ft. lower than normal when I launched. By the time I got back
to the launch a lil after 10 am, the water was about 3 ft. lower than normal. I could barely get out the boat to get on the dock
at Prien Park. I had to use the middle dock, couldn't get on the bulkhead dock on the North side of the launches.
I think I am finished fishing till it warms up.

Thanks, I've been doing OK on Glow and Clear Sparkle beetles.
Going to try the TKOs, got several in the bag but haven't used them yet.

One of my volleyball buddies wants to trade a pack of venison for red and trout fillets. WhaaHoo! I'll make that trade any time.

TKO and DOA are about the same. TKO is half priced.
Blue Moon color is about the same as Opening Night.
TKO has more colors to choose from too.

Gottogo49 12-08-2011 06:26 PM

Tried the TKO's today, you were right, they worked well. Thanks
