bout had enough

Man I was sitting on the deer stand today and all I could think about was duck hunting. Our deer hunting has really gone downhill over the last several years with the invasion of hogs and coyotes and its really just not as enjoyable as it used to be. So since all I was doing was day dreaming about cupped wings while trying to look for deer, I have just about decided to give up deer hunting and buy another Gatortrax and start duck hunting primarily next year. Anyone else had a similar experience? whatd you do?

I fish! and if you want to duck hunt, I watched flock after flock of ducks fly in the boloxi marsh friday, and heard shots all a.m. ,public land great place to fish and hunt.

Where are you hunting?

Sea-Trac Offshore 11-27-2011 09:07 AM

Hopedale Marsh is loaded with ducks. Right across from the lagoon it almost looks like a bird sanctuary when I paddle back there. Sorry to hear about your deer lease. My friend that hunts bogalusa is having the same problem with the coyotes.

As long as people are willing to pay, the prices will continue to go up.

simplepeddler 11-27-2011 12:24 PM

just remember, we have had the same ups and downs with ducks.....may be on a good trend this year......but a quick search of last year's reports and you can see similar frustration on the feather side as the fur side

true words there. I just like to shoot mostly. so sitting for several hunts and not squeezing the trigger sucks. and this trend has been getting worse and worse over the last 3-4 years
