Cocodrie This Weekend

Hey CajunMan7925 or any other Cocodrie fishermen out there, Yak'Em and I are headed out there Sunday morning for a little kayak fishing.

We were thinking about launching at the CoCo Marina and fishing in the marshes behind LUMCON. Where would you suggest we wet the line to get on some reds?

Gold Spoons? Topwater? Spinner Baits?

TIA

hey yall coming to my neck of the marsh you cant go wrong with gold spoons. been lots of fish caught back that way last couple of weeks

haha yeah. Well I'm from Montegut and am here at LSU now. I fish with my brother in law in the marshes behind the Piggly Wiggly and a little north of Boudreaux Canal.

I know of an oyster reef behind lumcon that holds reds and was just trying to get a better overall picture of what to expect and where to expect them.

ha ha ha ha i live behind the pig. the tide will play big part this weekend

BottomOfTheBoot 08-26-2009 11:34 PM

i hope you mean that in a good way rat...

Bigrat 08-26-2009 11:37 PM

yea you know everyone around here calls it the pig

BottomOfTheBoot 08-26-2009 11:40 PM

yeah well i was trying to be politically correct lol. If i said we fish behind the pig, no telling what some people would have thought.

i dont do too much shopping there anyway, i normally go to Price's in the Gut.

So we'll get out there around 730ish?

Been hearing good things bout the reds in the marsh shouldn't have any problems getting your yak around by a nice redfish.
