10/29 Big Lake

Got a late start yesterday, weather was beautiful in the afternoon. Started in Turners and didn't have much luck so we went into the marsh and found some nice reds. My dad caught his biggest red yet at 26.5 inches. Fun day on the water with my dad and son. Finished with 7 reds, 2 flatties, and the biggest sheephead/bay snapped I've ever seen.

Forgot to mention that I ran aground about 1/2 mile off of long point. Going 30mph to 0mph was not fun, thought my dad was going over the bow.

Thanks for the info and report. I never would have thought there would be shoals that far out from the point. I hit something this summer on the east side of 9-mile point. Fortunately I was only going at wake speed but it brought us to a sudden halt.
