Roll Over 10/23

1 Attachment(s)
Headed out this AM with a fishing buddy, AKA Insidiator. Originally wanted to go to Vermilion Bay but the satellite pic's didn't look good. Decided instead to hit the Marsh and Beach with high hopes for the Beach being pretty. The Marine forecast called for 1 ft sea's but we were greeted with 2-4 ft swells instead, and a muddy shoreline. Headed back inside, ran here and there and ended up with 28 Specs (12-17"), 2- Reds, 2 sheephead (why not) and 1 small flounder. Threw about 10 white trout back. Oh yea, and we loaded up with a cast net limit of nice Shrimp.

Whats your technique for the Flounder in that part of the world?

Jrchip1 10-24-2011 06:37 PM

Thanks for the positive feedback. Dis boat is usually seeking the far away fish, away from da crowds. Been dat way all my life. :)

It was probably a tad west of Rollover bayou, my bad...sorry. Both live shrimp on a cork and plastic on float. Dead ends mostly...

Berkley gulp swim mullet, color does not seem to matter. Swim it slow on the bottom with a 1/4 oz jighead, helps if you use braid too.

RedfishPoker 10-24-2011 08:22 PM

aww.. awesome.. you did really good JOB to catch, dude..

Revisited-After brief deliberation :shaking: I realized I forgot to give credit where credit is/was due.. The INSIDIATOR caught that Red I so ungraciously posed with. I did however ...... NET IT !
