x2, if there is no one in your area...mail 'em. It will save you time and money on gas. Jedi Lure Trick is a good dude and will gladly help you out.

Jedi is the man. Send them to him and they will be taken care of. I think it's about 20 bucks for the cleaning plus parts.

cmdrost 10-13-2011 01:26 PM

used to be a guy on here who did that. Reelman I think. I heard he was really good. He is located in Bell City.

I've sent em back directly to Shimano before. That was quicker turn around time than what LCT was offering and about the same price. I've haven't tried tackle box yet.

The guy in Bell City is very good. He is the only one I use. He works on a couple of guys reels from this site. His website is.... http://cajunrodandreelrepair.com/

Ship them to Bell City, you won't regret it! He uses the USPS for shipping reels and it is about the same price as gas to drive there.

there is a shop just outside of new iberia on hwy 31 towards st. martinville on the right hand side, before you get to the cade hwy, give him a call he is pretty good and reasonably priced, his name is Ernie 337-680-0788, he was trained by and worked with Jeff Brooks

I use Mr. Ron (Reelman) Ardoin in Bell City also. Right across the street from the high school. Drop them off on the way to work and pick them up on the way back.

I like OCR in Lafayette, give them a call great guys....ask for Craig Olivier and tell him Trevor set you

Jedi Lure Tricks 10-13-2011 07:47 PM

thanks for all the reccomendations guys. yep gail is pretty good and as others have said, he charges $20 for a clean + any parts if repair is needed. he also offers upgrades and super-tuning.

he had a bit of a hang-up a couple weeks ago that slowed him up, but he's back in action and knockin em out.

we charge nothing on top of what mr. leger charges, we simply offer our shop as a drop off and pick up spot as a customer convience. :)

Head down Pinhook towards Surrey St. At Surrey, turn right and they are on your right. Looks like an old house set back off the road about 50 yards. Phone Number is 337/233-6341 but call before you go. They tend to close on Friday's sometimes.

I've got a few of their rods, love em!!! While your there, buy my fly rod, its hanging under the front window......

I got a curado awhil3 back, used it once, its there for a cleaning......so do yourself a favor and get yourself a diawa reel while your there.

And while your on pinhook, stop by my safe shop and get a gun safe!!!!

Andy C 10-13-2011 11:40 PM

i had a bad experience with ocr, i wouldn't recomend any one over there, they put an eye on my pole that was about 4 sizes to big and it looked rediculous and they didn't want to make it right, i would fish with a broken pole before i let them fix another one

"W" 10-14-2011 08:16 AM

Ron the ReelMan in Bell City.....best around! And quick turn around...he as fix my reels several times while I waited for them!..... You can ship them and he will ship back!
