Picked up a few fish earlier in the week, in a short peroid of time all on top water...Fishing the banks in Contraband Bayou. The water in there was beautiful, could see my bait 20yards away and about 2foot below the surface. Had more fish hooked up but lost some due to the cypress stumps.. Had to get back and check on the new puppy!!

I have a boat at Olmstede's Shipyard and the water has been chocolate brown for the past few days. Must be better up at the mouth of the bayou.

Great to hear your good luck.

I fished CB a couple of months ago and did not get a bite in over an hour of fishing. The water looked fairly good then but was low.

Ran out Contraband Bayou today and it was a lot clearer than day before yesterday.
However, the sewer plant outlet by the curve was letting out a lot of untreated sewerage this morning. When we came back this afternoon, it looked normal.
There were millions of bait fish running thru the untreated sewerage this morning.
I wouldn't have kept any fish from CB today.
