Man there's just not much for parks around Baton Rouge anymore, especially fishing too, there is a place off Hooper Rd it's has walk trails & a couple nice ponds, if you're interested I'll post ya the directions it's not hard to find. It's about 4-5 miles when you get off I-110 at the airport exit.

Is it open to the public all the time? Was thinking it's only open certains days. If so that would be the best place!

Yeah it's open everyday to the public I believe. My kids had a field trip there one and now we go every now and then. Nice place! I think most of the parks have turned kinda ghetto now. Free place for kids birthday parties.

If that's the case....check it out....1st class, it's run by the DW&F. It's on Flanery Rd, should be able to google it.
