Cameron Launch
Can someone tell me where the launch is in cameron on the east side of the channel. Only launch I have used was the one on the west side by the ferry.

It's about 1.5 miles east of the ferry. You have to turn south like you are going to the jettys. Don't know the name of the road but it should be marked.

Davis Rd.....i think is the name.
should be the 1st road on the left when you get in cameron. there is a slab just before the road where a gas station used to be before Rita.

The road is just past the new school board building and the parking lot. There is a market basket sign on the west side of the road.

The little park and fishing pier [which is now closed after a barge damaged it] are at the end of the road.
The boat launch...........is about a 1/4 mile from the end of the road.
Be careful using this launch. Large ships past along there leaving big waves which can damage a boat. Also sometimes there can be lots of seaweeds/grass at the edge of the water on the boat ramp. If your tires are on top of the seaweed..... your tires may just spin when trying to pull the boat out of the water.
