Wednesday Morning Trout Slam!

Dularge Trout Fishing

A beautiful morning on the DU and the trout cooperated for us once again. Finally got a good weather day for Kirk Smith,Mike,James Blakney and Carlton Johnson from Lafayette. Armed with double rigged LSU chubs the guys worked over the fish as we whacked 125 nice trout by 8:00AM. It was another awesome trip with this crew as these guys really know how to fish! James,Kirk and Carlton are always a kick to fish with! We fished block 28 and there were quite a few boats today for a Wednesday. Capt Ricky Brondum ran an afternoon trip with Brian Gray & crew from Georgia. They headed out in 2 ft seas and finished up with 3-4 ft seas. It was rough to say the least but they still had a very good evening catching 60-65 nice trout. Looks like the winds gonna pick up the next few days so we'll most likely be chasing the bronzebacks. Good luck fishing.
