I was reading the LA Times this morning and came across his obituary. He died last night. I thought it would be of interest since he sang one of the greatest songs about Louisiana.

I first heard this song when I was living in Los Angeles, he was performing at the Gibson. The song was one of the reasons I wanted to move here, well that and my wife.
