Made a trip with my dad and cousin to our lease last week. We laid down quite a few animals. :grinpimp: No monsters, but we had a blast. I was waiting for a big boy but shot this 10 while walking back to the camp after the last hunt. My cousin got a nice 8(biggest he ever killed), a pig, his limit of ducks, 3 doves, and a rabbit and my dad a big cull 8.

SULPHITE 01-04-2011 05:39 PM

my one question tho is why does everyone kill bob cats? Not knockin' you speck just wondering?

Ray 01-04-2011 05:44 PM

Dat's what I call a meat hunt.
Good job.

FF_T_Warren 01-04-2011 05:46 PM

cuz theyll kill baby deer and rabbits and stuff. just a predator animal that takes away from the wildlife you get a shot at. at least thats why I kill em

U are right sulphite. Actually the coyote and the bobcat were killed by my dads buddy. I have seen lots of bobcats and never shot one before. I have shot a few coyotes though. But I don't shoot much. I shot twice whole time we were there. I don't like to disturb area I'm hunting. We even have a few mountain lions in the area that people have seen. My dad and myself are the only ones that say we wouldn't shoot it if it came out on us. Now if it cornered me or something, that would be a different story. :)

Yup. I really shouldn't have shot him but I was walking back to the camp from my last hunt and spotted him from about 500-600 yds away and stalked him. When I got close enough to get a good shot, I was laying in the road and couldn't get a good look at rack. I knew he was tall but thought he was wider. Oh well. I cut off his horns and made me my first set of real rattling horns.

U got it! I kept getting off road and creeping through the trails the cows made through cactuses along side of road. Then i got about 150 yds away and laid down in road with my gun rested on backpack. He was facing me feeding and kind of behind a little dip in the road. so that was all i had to shoot at. I watched him for a few minutes waiting for him to turn and he never would so finally i just let him have it.
