Dirt work is done..anyone need housepad clay??
 

well finally got my dirt work done! .5 acre pond...with a .8 acre housepad on 5 acres...still needs some final touches though, and gonna try to seed up some winter rye next week after the rain...if anyone needs dirtwork for a very good price..let me know I have the guy for you.

The pond is 4 to 8-9 feet but can stand to go deeper...if anyone in SWLA needs clay..you can have it...just have to come dig it and haul it off :D... send me a PM if ya need any..

I thought that said a "5" acre pond:eek:!!!!!!!!! Fixing to say wow thats alot of digging!!!!! Mine was 3/4 acre & I didn't think I would ever get out of that dump truck!!!!!!!!!! Cool deal.......I hope you enjoy it! I got gravel on my driveway today, all 400' of it. Ready to get the house started!!!!!!

nah wtret. .5 is big enough for me lol he spent alot of time in there too...how deep is your pond? I wish I could of got mine to 12 feet...


jldsc...its in Hathaway...I'm gonna put a trailer on it for now...then build a metal shop/house...i'll have someone put the shell up then i'll frame and finish the living area...nothing fancy just wanted to get out in the country so I could have some animals,a shop and a place to put my old boats/motors that I will be restoring...

Mine is right at 12' in the middle, 3 sides are 8-9 ft has a really steep slope on the sides & other one end stages up to about 3' & goes out about 30' before dropping to about 8'

built my pond in may it is between .25 and .5 acre just did my intial stocking the other day and dyed it......our start date is monday on our house and its 70 percent thats my luck. anyway here is a picture i took of my pond when i dyed it. it hadn't mixed all the way yet hence the brown spot in the middle.

I know what you mean, I started finding all kinda gray hairs in the last week or so and I'm only 26!!!!!! The stressful part about it is dealing with all the dumbasses that keep screwing up!

im only 28 so im not that old

haha I hear that, at the rate I'm going I won't have a problem with gray hair cuz I won't have ANY hair!

I've got a bout 2' of water in the deepest spot, I planted rye grass to try & help with washing, also help with muddying up so bad, it took good in some place & not so in others:confused:, Got my frame for pier in before the water got in though:grinpimp:

i wish i would have started my dock before it filled up but i was off working.....im looking at some of the floating docks and this light now......

I have one in the pond where I live now, they work!!!!!! Have had it for about 3 years, Expensive but work. It'll take a few weeks for them to figure it out but when they do the water will be covered in fish under that light, we can drop a jig down under the water & they won't touch it, let barely touch the water & they'll nail it! We will sit out there for hours watching the fish eat the bugs that get knocked in the water.
