why would anyone want to help drunk drivers. they belong in the slammer. your endangering the lives of innocent people including young children, and people advertise this kind of junk to help keep them on the street.

My wife and I take turns driving.
When she is drunk, I drive and take advantage of her when we get home.
When I am drunk, she drives, and I have to take advantage of myself cause she she goes to sleep too early.

maybe it will caution people not to drink and drive...

I have mixed feelings about these types of "traps" set up by law enforcement. What reasonable suspicion or probable cause do they have to stop you, me, and everyone else traveling down a particular roadway? How does this hold up in court? I guess you do get a few drunk idiots who actually submit to the sobriety tests and fail.

I just don't feel like I need to navigate a slalom course of cones then let some 20 year old cop inspect my eyeballs at 10 o'clock at night to "save" us and the children from the drunks.

"Michigan state police vs. Sitz," Justice Rehnquist even admitted the checkpoints violate 4th amendment rights but they still ruled in favor. Stevens said the net effects are questionable at best.

The woman who founded MADD has even said she thinks some LEOs have taken this crusade too far.

Jordan, Brett farve just called asking for your number......

In my eyes ... if your driving drunk and its noticable (your swerving, slurred speech, can't walk) then you need to be put in jail. A man that has two or three beers and then drives to the store and ends up in a check point doesn't deserve a ticket.

Jordan 10-29-2010 10:29 AM

so did ur wife ?

Dink 10-29-2010 10:44 AM

If you go to dinner with your wife....have a drink while waiting for a table and a glass of wine with your meal, you legally over the limit........trust me, I know.......

FYI.......make sure your lights around your license plate work.......

Dink 10-29-2010 10:44 AM

Why would my wife call you for my number??

I'm pretty sure open container is only a ticket/summons. Depending on the officer, there's a good chance you may have to blow to beat the ride. (assuming < .08 bac)

Checkpoint is on Johnson near legends
