beach 9/29
 

went down to the beach again today. no wind when i got there, so it was a nice easy paddle out. i started with a skitter walk and no takers. after a few mins of that i whipped out the big gun and got on 'em! it wasn't fast and furious but it was steady from about 7 till 9ish. one here, one there kinda deal. i ended up with 16 or 17 trout and a 4 1/2lb red.

i met a couple of nice folks from lafayette who were also in yaks. i was havin a good 'ol time catching feesh and one paddled near to me and said "you're making me sick catchin all these trout and i cant get bit. please tell me what you're throwing." I grinned and said 'come on over' and i gave her 2 of my baits. she thanked me and said she didnt want to disturb me anymore and paddled off. we all pulled out about the same time and they said they didnt catch squat. i was very suprised, given the day i had.

yeah i think that was her name. dang im bad with names :redface: she was real nice. i felt bad she wasn't catching and even offered to share 'my spot' but she politly declined. i didnt talk to the fellow till we were on the sand.
but im pretty sure she was in hobie.. red/orangish? i think the other was a hobie too, yellow.
