for my wifes birthday

Gonna be at Coushata in Kinder july 10 for my wifes b-day and was wondering if there are any good places to take her to eat between Lake Charles and Kinder. Thanks

Fausto's in Kinder has good fried chicken and seafood.
Casino is pretty good, but sometimes they are lacking.

There is a thread somewhere on here about eating places.

Mazens in Lake Charles is nice along with Harlequin, mazens is greek so dont know if thats your cup of tea or not but they have one hell of a good filet with crab on it

CajunSteelsetter 07-01-2010 11:12 AM

There is absolutely NOTHING between LC and Kinder. There's plenty of good places in LC, and two in kinder (Fausto's and the casino), but nothing in between.

Did he really need the last two responses Guys???
Time and place for everything and this is not the time or place.

Kenny, take I-210 and get off at the Lake St exit, cross over Lake onto College St. Harlequin is 2 blks and Mazens 2.5 east.
If you choose Mazen's order the fried asparagas appetiser it is da Bomb.

Rabideaux's in Iowa on Wed. at noon has great bbq lunch's. They
have plate lunch's every day, but Wed. is best.
They have good boudin and cracklin too.
Not a great lunch, unless you like the same kind of food that I do.

I forgot about Roy's. They have good fried Catfish. It is just outside Kinder to the
South on 165.

gasdad 07-01-2010 05:17 PM

Kinder food

I agree, Roy's does have good fried catfish.

Woodduck Commander 07-01-2010 06:35 PM

Roys is really good. For lunch in kinder turn in front of market basket and go until you find the Cajun restaurant.... There is a Chinese and a Mexican place that are pretty good... They are both by Faustos. If you want to eat boudin, plate lunch, cracklins, that stuff go to Chadeauxs right off of the highway. Other than that the casino has places. I live in kinder and that's pretty much all there is.

tcglsu 07-01-2010 07:41 PM

Chadeauxs has some slammin jerky

trophytroutman 07-01-2010 07:48 PM
